The Mayor of London Fund has offered an exciting opportunity for a select number of schools to start a maths club. Normandy have been lucky enough to be chosen as one of these schools. Consisting of 3 units, Normandy ks2 children have taken on the Enterprise unit.
The aims are to create real life links with maths as well as build confidence and apply their maths skills. The children have shown fantastic engagement, resilience and determination to succeed. They attend club once a week where they have set up their own keyring business. They have been looking at a range of aspects from designing a logo, carrying out market research and designing and making their products.
The children really impressed a Mayor Of London Representative recently with their engaging mathematical talk and enthusiasm for the club when she came to visit to see how the club was running.
