On Monday 12th June, Year 4 pupils took part in a ‘Mexicolore Workshop’ to enrich their topic on Mexico and The Aztecs. The children were asked to come to school dressed in Mexican colours (red, green and white) or traditional Aztec costumes. It was wonderful to see the classrooms so colourful and vibrant.
The children took part in traditional Aztec drumming and chanting sessions followed by a full scale theatrical performance which they all thoroughly enjoyed. They learnt about the four elements and the Aztec calendar and especially enjoyed learning about the origin of chocolate.
